Keeping a steady balance while standing on a Balance Board or Wobble Board requires simultaneous control of muscles in the legs and trunk. This can be very challenging! As the child gains improved control of their core muscles, they will begin to develop subtle equilibrium reactions rather than large balance reactions. The child can stand, sit or kneel on the board while trying to maintain a steady balance.
Always use the Balance Board with adult supervision
Look out for little fingers which might get caught between the edge of the board and the floor surface while balancing!
