Beads in a Bottle – Threading beads provides a great bilateral hand function task, in which the dexterous use of both hands ensures the success of the task. Threading beads require precise fine-motor control for the threading action. Take care to ensure that the child keeps their neck and shoulders relaxed while threading as it is easy for the child to adopt an awkward shoulder position since the task can be quite challenging. Over 100 small wooden, brightly painted beads and a skein of neon coloured threading string  – Packed in a plastic bottle – Beads each measure approximately 12 mm each.

Beads are a choking hazard, adult supervision is necessary for children who are prone to mouthing objects.
