Children who have sensory regulation difficulties and sensory processing difficulties often respond really well to carrying heavy objects, as the effort involved provides them with additional proprioceptive input.

Sitting in ring time with a weight on their laps can also assist in providing regulating sensory input. Children who typically struggle to sit still can often sit much longer and be generally more organised in their behavior when using a weighted toy such as our tubby elephant.

Weighted Elephant is approximately 40 cm tall and 35 cm when sitting. Head to tail he is approximately 45cm long and weighs approximately 2 Kg. His tummy holds a fabric bag filled with plastic recycled bead.
